Mad Hatters!

YES!
the title of this post is in reference
to the much anticipated
Alice
in Wonderland
extravaganza that Tim Burton and Johnny Depp
have in store for us next month . . .

i'm also referring to the gorgeous new
HATS
that were just delivered from
Kitty in a Blender (Nelson, BC)!!!

Designer Kristin Phasey's creations are a
multi-step process: she firsts crochets, then felts,
and finally finishes each hat with
subtle details -- like this small spray of feathers! -- so the
end result is uniquely individual.

~ the soft texture of felted wool is such a treat for your noggin!!

~ a great Valentine's Day gift idea,
for someone you . . .

like YOU !?!!?

I was surprised to learn that
Kristin has only been making these hats
to sell for just a few months now.
Her professional approach to quality is
evident in the finished product!

Custom orders are Welcome also!!
(see website for Order Form)

Come check them out when you
get a chance!!

Happy Imbolc
to all our pagan friends!

this is the time of year when we all start looking
to the weather and nature for signs of spring;
the tradition of watching groundhogs
(or more importantly, their shadows)
to predict the end of winter
was born of this ancient holiday.

SO!!
stick your head out into the world today,
check out the cloud situation and
make your own predictions!!

xoxo, global

~ many thanks to my geeky brothers
who comb the internet for random interesting factoids to share
(go to wikipedia.com and select "Random article")
and who never laugh too hard at my tendency to look up
ANYTHING in the middle of a conversation !!!

  1. I actually live in Ontario and have the pleasure of owning one of
Kittyinablender's beautiful hats! It was custom made for me and fits beautifully. It is one of a kind and I just love it. I know many will enjoy these unique hats.

  2. A fertile and nourishing Imbolc to you as well my druidian brethren & sisthren.

How is the belt buckle inventory? If you have any influence over that great leather artist or metal artists in your line of business, I would definitely wear some leather or silver Darth Vader cufflinks ... or something of that intergallactic ilk.
